Before your class

How should I prepare for my virtual class? Are there any special technical requirements?

Before accessing your classroom you need to have:

  • A laptop, a desktop computer or an Android tablet. Please note that for the moment you cannot log into the virtual classroom using ipads. The platform is compatible with android tablets only. Ipads version of the virtual classroom is coming soon! You cannot login to virtual class using smartphone.
  • Access to the internet. Please note the minimum speed requirements are: download speed of 512 Kbps with a minimum upload speed of 128 Kbps.
  • Headphone set with a microphone.
  • Installed one of the two recommended browsers: Chrome or Firefox.

What do I need to start my course?

Your course is a private, tailored course that is unique for every user however the steps to start it are the same for everyone.

  • Step 1
    Subscribe one of our packs (link to the pricing page) . You will be registered instantly on our platform.
  • Step 2
    Book the oral free level assessment. Every student who wants to take private classes needs to do that.
  • Step 3
    See your level and private learning path in your dashboard and book classes.
  • Step 4
    Have fun and speak Spanish in your virtual Spanish class.
  • Step 5
    Take quizzes on the platform and track your progress.

How do you know my level of Spanish?

Whether you are willing to learn on your own or participate in our private classes we will guide you to find out your level.

As a self study users access an online test that will allow you to set your level to find the perfect material for you.

As a private class student you will enjoy a free level assessment of 25 minutes long with a teacher to start designing your private learning path.The teachers and education support team work closely together to ensure you area always participating in Spanish classes that fit your level.

The teacher will notify you as soon as soon as they see you are ready to move to the next level.When people think about on-line, they often think about (minimum teacher attention and no help organising your learning path) a relaxed and easy pace of studying.

Don’t expect that with us, we treat you the same as the students who come to our onsite schools! We want you feeling confident and bold speaking Spanish.

Course information

What is the timetable of the classes?

Your class, your timetable! Decide with your teacher the schedule that suits you better. This is the beauty of our virtual academy: learn Spanish wherever you are, whenever you want. Check our booking system to see our current availability and if you won’t be able to find suitable time for you, send us and email we’ll organize your class whenever you want.

What types of courses do you have?

On-Español offers you individual tailored Spanish lessons to meet your needs. Our classes are for 50 minutes (the virtual door opens 10 minutes before the class).
We offer as well on – line live events where you can learn in a group and make new friends. Check our upcoming events here.

Why don´t you teach other languages?

Each language is unique and the culture associated with that language is woven and crafted into the fabric of that language. We are experts at teaching Spanish. All our experience, knowledge and expertise is in helping our students to be the best Spanish communicators they can be.  We do one thing exceptional well rather many things quite well.

What is my “private learning path”?

Track all the steps you have taken in your course in your learning path. This is a private space where you and your teacher can go through all the lessons you have done so far. It comes handy if you want to review or if you change teacher.

How long do I have to complete the course?

You are the owner of your learning path so with the help of your teacher you will decide how long your course will take. Remember that your pack will be billed monthly.

Can I have a paper copy of my course material?

We have two different kinds of materials in our web. Self study and the one that it is used in your private classes.

The self study materials can always be printed. But we would appreciate if you ask your teachers about the material they give you in your classes.

What curriculum does On-Español provide?

On-Español lessons are based on European Framework of References for languages covering all levels from A1 to C2. But they are permanently personalized to meet your needs.

How is On-Español tailored to my needs?

Your lessons will be built according to your demands so we guaranty you a 100% customised On-Español classes based on European Framework of References for languages.

Will I need to purchase books or materials for courses?

Your teacher will provide you with extensive learning materials for your classes but if you want to practise more go to self study in our platform and learn with Pincho Pancho. Please, note that some of them may have an extra charge.

Will I be able to interact with other students?

Join our community and enjoy the experience of learning with our students as if you were in our onsite academy. Being part of On-Español Community will guaranty you access to our online event and webinar.

Will a certificate be issued by On- Español?

Our pedagogical team will issued a certificate with your achievements in our online course following the Common European Framework for languages (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).

Payment

How do I pay for my course?

You can pay for your classes safely using our on-line payments. Go to our prices page (link) to see the prices of our different class packs.

Is there a return policy?

Packs: Cancel or change your subscription at any time in our platform in your account settings in subscription section. You can as well cancel your pack by sending us email at: hola@on-espanol.com. Please, note that you will be charged automatically every 30 days unless you cancel your subscription.

Webinar: Cancel a paid webinar within 24 hours of booking and you’ll get a full refund.

Classes: For cancelling a class do it within 24 hours of the start of your class or it will still count as a class.

I have received a discount. How can I use it?

We offer discounts and vouchers. You can use them to buy any pack you want or a single private class. All you have to do is to choose the product you would like to purchase and enter the code you have received in the code box on the payments page. Every person has the right to use a particular code just once for one purchase however your number of promotional codes is unlimited. Please note that the codes have an expiration date. Pay attention to the information written on your coupon, so you don't miss your opportunity!
